Vacheron Constantin: Artists of Time

This volume commemorates Vacheron Constantin’s uninterrupted 260-year history devoted to watchmaking excellence. Geneva-based Vacheron Constantin has maintained its reputation for producing exceptional timepieces, from its first watch circa 1760 to its extraordinary mechanical watches of today. Highly collectible, these prestigious timepieces are conceived as much to seduce by their elegance as to provide precision timekeeping. With specially commissioned photographs, the book traces the rich history of the manufacture and includes an informative catalog of timepieces and a guide to the watchmaker’s art. An unwavering commitment to excellence is the firm’s hallmark; the heritage of 260 years of unique artistic and technical expertise.

Reviews

“A hardcover book dedicated to a watch becomes more than a page turner for timepiece connoisseurs. It’s a journey back in time with a storied history that is fascinating – even if the reader has no interest in legendary, mechanical time tellers.”
-Trillionaire Magazine

"[Vacheron Constantin] is so beautifully illustrated. . . . charismatic photographs really make the extensive book pop in a visual sense. . . . All in all, this oeuvre is an excellent investment for anyone interested in history, Vacheron Constantin, horology, or just beautiful objects. And it is an absolute feast for the eyes."
-QUILL & PAD MAGAZINE

"Saying or thinking that Vacheron Constantin makes watches is like saying Michelangelo was a ceiling painter. . . The photographic images are nothing short of exquisite but one must read and learn what goes on within the workings of these amazing watches. . . Without question this is a book that will be appreciated on so many levels because as anyone who is more than familiar with watches can testify that Vacheron Constantin is the Ferrari of timepieces."
