As America approaches its 250th anniversary, #CivicSeason offers a time to reflect on our shared history and celebrate the people, events, and ideals that continue to shape the nation. Spanning Juneteenth through the Fourth of July, it invites all Americans to connect with the past while looking toward the future.
To mark the occasion, we’re giving away a collection of books that explore the American experience, including VIEWS OF AMERICA, which uncovers the nation’s history through works of art dating back to the Revolutionary era; HAMILTON, an intimate photographic look at the groundbreaking musical that brought America’s founding story to a new generation; LINCOLN, a fresh perspective on one of the nation’s most influential presidents and his enduring legacy; RECKONING, which explores the ongoing struggles Black Americans have faced in their pursuit of the rights and freedoms promised in the Constitution; Chelsea Green’s RETURN TO THE SKY, the inspiring story of the effort to restore the Bald Eagle, one of the nation’s most enduring symbols, to the American landscape; and DESIGNING HISTORY: THE EXTRAORDINARY ART & STYLE OF THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE (shown here open), a behind-the-scenes look at one of America’s most iconic homes and its place in the nation’s history.
