Joan Walsh Anglund was an American poet, children’s book author, and illustrator whose gentle words and distinctive drawings have touched generations of readers. Her first children’s book, A Friend Is Someone Who Likes You, was named one of the New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Books. She went on to create more than 120 beloved titles, including Spring Is a New Beginning and Love Is a Special Feeling.
