About The Author

Eve Titus was a beloved American children’s writer. Her most famous books—featuring the heroic and resourceful French mouse, Anatole—later became the subject of a Canadian-produced animated television series. Paul Galdone illustrated nearly all of Eve Titus’ books, and together they were nominated for Caldecott Medals for Anatole (1957) and Anatole and the Cat (1958). Galdone was posthumously awarded the 1996 Kerlan Award for his contributions to children’s literature.
