These interiors will inspire you to create your own personal sanctuary by finding the spirit of the place, layering pattern and texture, treasures and family heirlooms to fashion lovely and singular rooms, meant for real living, not just for show.

With a focus on Southern California, where they are based, Stamps & Stamps specialize in designing, decorating, and reviving historic homes and gardens. Reviews

“Since 1991, Odom and Kate Stamps, founders of architecture and design firm Stamps & Stamps, have been creating traditional English-inspired homes and gardens through a sunny California lens. The first section of this book explores their Pasadena home, the converted 1904 carriage house of  a Greene & Greene estate and two of its petite guesthouses, plus a handful of local projects that explore more bohemian themes. The second part is devoted to practical advice (even a few cocktail recipes), as well  as Kate’s tips on upholstery, flowers and design resources. As the foreword aptly states, the couple creates homes “that prioritize the pleasures of domestic life.” —LUXE

"With pristine attention to detail, the Stamps & Stamps design firm in Southern California shows how to create a mood with floral patterns, brimming bookshelves, and overstuffed armchairs. By layering your favorite objects and vintage treasures, one can create their own private sanctuary." —SOCIETY TEXAS

"Founded 20 years ago, the Stamps & Stamps design firm specializes in the creation of traditional English-inspired interiors. It is their philosophy that all three aspects of residential design – architecture, interiors and gardens – should be conceived together to create a coherent and intelligent home. In their first book, Stamps & Stamps: Style & Sensibility, Kate and Odom Stamps share their passion for historical references and attention to detail." —ANTIQUES AND THE ARTS WEEKLY

"In their first book, Southern California-based architecture and interior design duo Odom and Kate Stamps take readers inside their picturesque projects." —ELLEDECOR.COM
