A must-have for lovers of streetwear style and high fashion, Virgil Abloh’s longtime collaborator Christina Paik is publishing her much sought-after archive of images documenting their decade of work together.

Dating from the earliest days of Off-White, Paik had complete access to one of the most influential figures in contemporary fashion. As a photographer, she has amassed a trove of images, many unpublished, that define a singular, inimitable moment in American fashion design. Every detail of the process, from the design of clothing and accessories, to styling for editorial photography, to meetings with design collaborators is exhaustively documented in an unprecedented visual record.  

In the works since before the Covid pandemic, the pair conceived of “Kiss & Cry” as a complete archive of Abloh at work, including iconic imagery from his fittings, shows, and shoots from 2013 to 2021. 

Paik’s work has been featured in landmark museum exhibitions on Abloh, and many of the images in this book, many unpublished, form a complete and highly personal document of the designer’s work. From New York to Paris, Paik trained her camera on a beehive of constant activity—one that incidentally captured the designer with the great and the good of the era.  

Intimates of Abloh round out a list of contributors, individuals who understood Abloh’s work from the outset.
