The Coast Guard House Cookbook: 100 Recipes from One of New England's Most Iconic Restaurants

Sea- and farm-to-table meals presented in 100 recipes from one of New England’s premiere oceanfront dining venues.

Constructed in 1888 as a US Life-Saving Service station, in Narragansett, Rhode Island, the 136-year-old structure is now renowned as one of the most beloved dining destinations in New England.

Year-round, tourists to the area as well as long-time residents come to The Coast Guard House to enjoy the seasonally inspired sea- and farm-to-table menu. The seafood is as fresh as it gets—six miles away, Narragansett’s commercial fishing fleet lands fish, lobster, and shellfish that is sold up and down the Eastern seaboard and beyond.

This love letter to a very special establishment contains never-before-shared recipes for its appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, sides, desserts, and cocktails and mocktails. Clear, easy-to-read, and enticing recipes written for the home cook tempt the reader to dive in, as do the full-color lush photographs of finished dishes and breathtaking views of the ocean and other local scenery.
