The Works: Pierre-Auguste Renoir: The essential masterpieces

Explore the life and art of Pierre-Auguste Renoir through 50 of his most important works.

Part of The Works art history series, this new volume presents fifty of Renoir’s most iconic artworks in a striking, high-design book format.

From the rich fluidity of his earlier works, including Bal du moulin de la Galette and his Dance triptych—most famously Dance at Bougival—to the warmth and sensuality of his “last great masterpiece,” The Bathers, this book showcases the beauty and complexity of Renoir’s style. Through detailed analyses of each artwork from acclaimed art historian Sally Grant, this is the ultimate introduction to Renoir.
