About The Author

Shushan Lam is a journalist, documentary host, producer, and travel writer, whose work has taken her from the deserts of Northeastern China to the tropical jungles of Borneo. Over the past ten years, she has written for publications like Singapore’s national paper The Straits Times and produced content for Asia’s leading broadcaster Channel News Asia, covering travel, wildlife conservation, and culture and heritage. She was named Channel News Asia’s Young Journalist of the Year in 2017 and won silver at the Asian Digital Media Awards for best digital video. Shushan is now based in Singapore, but previously lived in Melbourne, Australia.
